Guangzhou Tennis Center for Asian Games 2010 contains one central court(CC) with 10 139 seats and one side court(SC) with 1 962 seats. Concrete stand and steel roof were adopted for both courts.

The city won the hosting rights for the 2022 Asian Games in 2015. It will be the third Chinese city to host the Asian Games after Beijing and Guangzhou in 1990 and 2010.
