The architecture calls for two new rockets: the Ares 1 to launch crew, and a new heavy-lift rocket known as Ares5 that could put into orbit the equipment needed by an Orion capsule to travel to the Moon and beyond.
Ares Capital has earned investors a 10% annual return over the last 4.5 years with dividends reinvested, while American Capital has lost investors more than 20% over the same time period with dividends reinvested.
