The wall rocks of gold deposits located in Zhaoyuan gold mineralization area were rooted in metamorphicrocks in Jiaodongrock group in Archaean era andgranites in Mesozoic era.
This is a key piece of evidence which the researchers rely on to show that the tubules are much older than the metamorphism which transformed the Archaeanrock.
