Apple announced a new MacPro that pairs two of Intel 's new 45-nanometer quad-core 3.2-gigahertz Xeon processors, putting eight processor cores into Apple's powerful workstations.
When Hertzfeld, who now works at Google, went to the Apple store, he found that Apple did indeed update the MacPro, though stage time at WWDC was devoted to faster new MacBook Air notebooks, updated MacBook Pro notebooks and a new high-end MacBook Pro with a high resolution Retina Display.
