abstract:Anthony Hollander (born 4 February 1964) is Professor of Rheumatology and Tissue Engineering at the University of Bristol where he is currently Head of School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine On 19 November 2008 it was reported in the Lancet Lancet 2008 volume 372, pp2023-2030 that an artificially-grown organ had been successfully transplanted into a woman in Barcelona, Claudia Castillo, a breakthrough in which Hollander played a key role as the only stem cell scientist on the team.
