Oz was a virtual witch's curse, as such disasters as "The Wonderful Land of Oz" (1969) and "Journey Back to Oz" (1974) seemed to prove the latter being a rather crudely animated feature whose sole virtue is an all-star soundtrack, taped a dozen years earlier, starring Garland's daughter, Liza Minnelli, as the voice of Dorothy.
