abstract:Alexander of Aphrodisias (; fl. 200 AD) was a Peripatetic philosopher and the most celebrated of the Ancient Greek commentators on the writings of Aristotle.
For example, we learn in this book that the most common genre of philosophy works were translation and liberal restatements of Greek philosophers, especially Aristotle, Plato and AlexanderofAphrodisias.
