abstract:Alexander Ljungqvist is an Ira Rennert professor of entrepreneurship and a research professor of finance at New York University Stern School of Business, where he teaches an MBA courses in financing new ventures and a PhD seminar in corporate finance. Professor Ljungqvist also teaches for the Master of Science in Global Finance (MSGF), which is a joint program between Stern and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Privately held firms also account for about 54.5 percent of spending on plants and equipment, professors John Asker and AlexanderLjungqvist of NYU and Joan Farre-Mensa of Harvard estimated in a recent study comparing private- and public-company investments.
