While constructing Logical IP Subnetworks on ATM network , according to classical model, the subnetworks must be connected to each other through router, which can not take advantage of the end-to-end seamless connection characteristics supplied by the ATM network. This paper discusses the Next Hop Resolution Model which support the cut-through connections across IP subnetwork"s boundary, and concentrates on the address resolution and routing decision.
