abstract:Abu Qatada al-Filistini ( , ’Abū Qatāda al-Filisṭīnī), born Omar Mahmoud Othman ( ‘Umar ibn Maḥmūd ibn ‘Uṯmān) in 1959/60, is a Palestinian Muslim of Jordanian citizenship. He is under worldwide embargo by the United Nations Security Council Committee 1267 for his alleged affiliation with al-Qaeda.
