齿隙，英文：backlash。 当两个齿轮互相晈合的时候，为了使其能够发挥最大的效率，就必须在齿轮间保留些许的距离，而这样的齿轮咬合就称之为齿隙。齿隙的宽度如果调整不当，不仅会使齿轮在咬合时发出的声音，而且对定位和能量的损耗等，许多的部分都会产生影响。
