饱和效应(Saturation effects)是指持续使用同一刺激材料导致刺激效果递减的心理现象。其基础是适应水平效应,即人的神经系统会适应某一特定强度的刺激,一定时间后继续重复这种强度的刺激,只会使刺激效果越来越小;要维持最初的高水平刺激效果,须不断增强刺激物的刺激强度。这一心理现象被广泛应用于法律心理学研究,尤其是对性刺激材料与性犯罪关系的研究。
