风积沙是被风吹，积淀的沙层。多见于沙漠、戈壁。其粒径主要分布在0.074～0.250㎜之间，含量高达90%以上，大于0.25㎜的颗粒极少，仅为0.1%。而小于0.074㎜的颗粒也只有不足9%。不均匀系数约为1.35。
