《音乐小杂志》是我国第一本音乐期刊杂志，在中国近现代音乐史上有其独特的历史地位。清光绪三十一年（1905年），李叔同东渡日本，留学于东京美术学校，他既研习油画，又从音乐家村上音二郎攻音乐，为中国较早研究西洋音乐者之一人。1905年农历十月，他就与友人着手出刊《美术杂志》，其中包括音乐内容。后因这份杂志流产，李叔同便独自在东京办起了刊物，这就是《音乐小杂志》。
