面砂又称虹彩，生于信鸽的眼睛底砂之上。其形状有粒状砂，苔状砂、绒状砂、竹根砂，盐碱状砂几种，是人们最简单辨认的砂型，也是人们最不重视研究的砂型。已故的信鸽的眼睛理论大师姜晨光先生曾留下这样铭言：“观察信鸽的眼睛的面砂，便知该鸽能否远距离回归。”故研究信鸽的眼睛面砂结构，同样具有重要作用。
获得的再生砂可直接用于面砂。
主要用于家具、门、窗表层漆面砂光及实木板、胶合板等板材表面精细抛光。
It's mainly used for the sanding of surface coats of furniture, doors and Windows and fine polishing of solid wood, plywood, and so on.
当对板面的平滑度，光洁度要求较高，在装饰之前可先对板面进行全面抹灰，再用打磨机砂光，然后进行涂饰面处理。
There is a strict requirement toward the smoothness of the plate surface. Before decoration process begins, the board should be sanded with sanding machine and then grinded completely.
