阑尾周围脓肿指在阑尾急性炎症下，阑尾周围所形成的脓肿或炎性包块，位置可因阑尾位置而不同，最常见的部位是右下腹髂窝部。临床表现有腹胀、腹痛、腹膜刺激征象，压痛性包块和全身感染中毒症状等。本病发生率占急性阑尾炎的4%~10%。
