长期成本是厂商在长期内根据所要达到的产量调整全部生产要素的投入量所发生的费用。长期成本没有可变成本与固定成本之分。但可分为长期总成本，长期平均成本和长期边际成本。长期总成本是指长期内达到一定产量所发生的全部费用。它随着产量的增加而上升，当没有产量时就没有成本。长期总成本在产量开始时增加上升较快，以后上升较慢，最后上升又变快，长期平均成本和长期边际成本可分别用长期平均成本曲线和长期边际成本曲线来反映。
