锚设备，又称“锚泊设备”。是指锚、锚链、锚机及其附属设备的总称，船舶的主要设备之一。其主要作用为：①系泊用，即船舶在避风、候潮、等泊、人员上下或锚地装卸货时，可抛锚使船停泊于锚地。②操纵用，即在狭水道或港内航行时，可抛锚协助船舶掉头或转向，抛单锚或双锚可起减小船速的作用；在靠离码头或浮筒时，抛锚有利于控制船身。③应急用，即在船舶搁浅时可用锚固定船身以防止进一步搁浅，并用锚协助脱浅；船舶在大风浪中失控时，可用锚或锚链控制船首方向，以防止船身打横受浪和剧烈横摇。
