白银市，位于甘肃省白银市，新中国成立初期被称为“中国铜城”的白银市，一座依托铜硫资源开发而兴起的资源型城市，海拔1275—3321米之间，地势由东南向西北倾斜，早在明朝洪武年间，官方设置采炼机构“白银厂”，城市因此得名，曾有“日出斗金，积销金城”之记载。
