钙沸石是沸石族矿物之一，它与钠沸石相似并有着密切的关系。单斜晶系。晶体柱状或针状，也常见纤维状、块状集合体。无色或白、灰、淡黄、黄、浅粉红等色。透明－微透明。玻璃光泽－丝绢光泽。产于玄武岩、响岩等喷发岩的气孔和裂隙中；也见于接触变质带。优质大晶体(5～10克拉)仅见于印度浦那(poona)和巴西南里奥格兰德州。可用于磨制宝石。
