金融票据亦称“融通票据”、“空票”。不以商品交易为基础，专为融通资金而签发的一种票据。它由当事人双方达成协议后产生，一方作为债权人签发票据，一方作为债务人表示承兑，出票人则于票据到期前把款项归还付款人，以备清偿。
