通货膨胀会计亦称“物价变动会计”。泛指为消除通货膨胀的影响或为如实反映通货膨胀的影响而采取的会计方法和程序。是对传统的会计计量模式的一种修正，特别是对整个会计模式（包括财务报表）或对财务报表的改革和改革设想。传统会计不考虑币值变动，即假设币值本身不变。通货膨胀产生了对历史成本原则进行修正和改革的必要。
