过热器又称蒸气过热器，一般安装在炉膛出口位置，它的作用是将锅筒中引出的饱和蒸气（一般含有2%的水分）在压力不变的条件下，再加热到规定的过热温度，以满足生产工艺的需要。 过热器管的作用是吸收热量，采用无缝锅炉钢管或耐热合金钢管弯成蛇形状，两端分别焊在进、出口集箱上。
