达尼埃尔·谢赫特曼，1941年出生于以色列的特拉维夫，以色列人，理论物理学家，现为以色列工学院工程材料系教授。20世纪80年代初发现了具有准晶体结构的合金，在晶体学研究领域和相关学术界引起了很大震动。目前，准晶体的相关研究成果已被应用到材料学、生物学等多种领域。2011年诺贝尔化学奖获得者。广东以色列理工学院常务副校长（汕头大学）。
