辐射通量密度指单位时间内,单位面积上所接受的辐射能量。又称辐照通量密度。符号为E。通常用W/m2表示。为辐射气候学和辐射测量学中的一个基本量。在气象学文献中又常被称为辐射强度(radiant intensity),但辐射强度严格地说应为辐射源单位立体角上在单位时间内所发射出的辐射通量。两者有所区别。
