轴面劈理是指其产状平行于或大致平行于褶皱轴面的劈理。这类劈理主要发育在强烈褶皱的岩层里。轴面劈理和轴面片理的产状与褶皱轴面的关系取决于组成褶皱岩石的韧性、均一性和褶皱的形态。在岩性均一、平均韧性高、韧性差小的岩系里,轴面劈理与轴面的平行性也愈高。
主要容矿构造为剪切带和褶皱,其类型有轴面劈理型、片理型和滑脱面型,矿体组合样式有斜列式、“S”形和“乡”字形、“H”形及网格形等。
