螺杆钻具（PDM drill），是一种以钻井液为动力，把液体压力能转为机械能的容积式井下动力钻具。当泥浆泵泵出的泥浆流经旁通阀进入马达，在马达的进、出口形成一定的压力差，推动转子绕定子的轴线旋转，并将转速和扭矩通过万向轴和传动轴传递给钻头，从而实现钻井作业。
