菜包,传统民间节日食品。是用糯米磨成粉和熟烂的鼠曲蓬篙等物,揉合做成栖,做成半月形,里面包笋丝、豆干、菜脯等,是自古以来祭冬的祭物,古人叫做环饼(晋代时叫做寒具)。 冬至节的清早,家庭主妇必须早起“浮圆仔”(用糖水煮汤圆)、“炊菜包”(蒸菜包)并准备祭拜神明、祖先,并且享用“冬至圆”,吃了“冬至圆”,带有象征团圆及添岁之意;在从前,祭拜之后还以“冬至圆”粘在门户、器具上,称为“饷耗”。
