膨胀机对外输出功造成气体的压力、温度降低,焓值减小。气体减少了能量,使它增加的吸热能力,称为膨胀机的制冷量。因此,膨胀机的制冷量也就是指它在膨胀过程中对外作功的大小,等于气体在膨胀过程减小的焓值。当膨胀机进口的比焓为h1,出口的比焓为h2时,单位数量的气体的制冷量即为h1-h2。已知膨胀机进、出口气体的温度和压力,可以从气体的热力性质图上查到相应的比焓值。
