系肱动脉的分支之一。于大圆肌的下缘处发自肱动脉，在肱三头肌内、外侧头之间，向下行于桡神经沟内，分支营养喙肱肌、肱三头肌。由肱深动脉发出桡侧副动脉，到肘关节参与构成肘关节网。该动脉营养其分布区域的组织。此区域如有外伤、骨折、手术时应注意此动脉。
尺侧上副动脉和肱深动脉的共干是仅有的一种形式。
