绿色咖啡咖啡是茜草科常绿灌木或小乔木,叶对生,革质,长卵形;花生于叶腋,白色;浆果椭圆形,深红色,内藏种子两粒。原产热带非洲东部,咖啡按咖啡豆的大小分为大粒、中粒和小粒:小果咖啡适宜在海拔600~1200米的高地栽培,比较耐低温,但抗病力弱;中果咖啡适宜在海拔300~700米的地区栽培,不耐旱,怕风,但产量较高,品质好,成熟后果实不易脱落;大果咖啡适宜在海拔300米以下的低地栽培,既耐旱,又对病虫害有抗性,且味道浓烈。
