离散边界（divergent boundary）是指两个相互分离的板块之间的边界。相当于大洋中脊轴部。地幔物质沿洋中脊轴部上涌，出露形成新的洋底岩石圈，添加在两侧板块的后缘，两侧板块背离洋中脊轴部而行。
