神经控制，基于神经网络的控制称为神经网络控制（NNC），简称神经控制（NC--Newrocontrol)。这一新词是在国际自控杂志《自动化》(Automatica)1994年No.11首次使用的，最早源于1992年H.Tolle和E.Ersu的专著《Neurocontrol》。基于神经网络的智能模拟用于控制，是实现智能控制的一种重要形式，近年来获得了迅速发展。
