磨制石器，指表面磨光的石器。先将石材打成或琢成适当形状，然后在砥石上研磨加工而成。种类很多，常见约有斧、锈、凿、刀、镶、簇等。中石器时代开始出现局部磨光的石器。 新石器时代广泛使用通体磨光石器，到了铜器时代仍继续使用。兼有兵器与工具双重职能。
