直埋敷设简称直埋。也就是直接埋设，是指管道直接埋设于土壤中的敷设方式。但直接埋设根据管道的种类有很多要求的，比如常见的热力管道，即城镇供热管道敷设，它一般是双层钢套管直接埋地敷设，分为无补偿敷设方式和有补偿敷设方式。直埋敷设与地沟敷设相比，具有如下特点：不需要砌筑地沟，土方量及土建工程量较少，管道预制，现场安装工作量减少，施工进度快，可节省供热管网的投资费用；占地小。
2.0.10 直埋敷设（direct burying）：电缆敷设入地下壕沟中沿沟底铺有垫层和电缆上铺有覆盖层、且加设保护板再埋齐地坪的敷设方式。
