百分率法是一种通过计算百分数的方法来反映总体内在结构和基本趋势的资料分析方法。百分率能统一两个容量不同的调查结果的基数，使其便于比较。在使用时首先要把类别的容量标准化。假如全部资料总和为100，同时每个类别的比例不变，全部百分数相加应为100。其次，百分率通常用于基数大于100的实数，当基数小于100时，原则上应用实际数量表示。由于百分率法显示直观，计算简单，所以已成为社会调查和传播研究显示和比较资料分布形态的最基本最常用的方法。
