电位滴定是利用溶液电位突变指示终点的滴定法。在滴定过程中，被滴定的溶液中插入连接电位计的两支电极，一支为参比电极，另一支为指标电极。与直接电位法相比，电位滴定不需要准确的测量电极电位值，因此，温度、液体接界电位的影响并不重要，其准确度优于直接电位法。与指示剂滴定法相比，电位滴定具有可用于滴定突跃小或不明显、有色或浑浊试样的滴定的优点。
