甲泼尼龙为中效合成品，4mg所具有的抗炎作用约与5mg泼尼松龙相当，钠潴留作用微弱。本品醋酸酯混悬剂分解缓慢，作用持久，可供肌肉、关节腔内注射。本品琥珀酸钠为水溶性，可供肌注，或溶于葡萄糖液中静脉滴注。
