亦称生产速度（德Wachstumsgeschwindig- keit）。其定义为：设生长时体重为w，时间为t时，dw/dt即单位时间内体重增加的部分为生长率，dw/dt/w即单位时间内体重增加的比例为比生长率（或比生长速度），后者也常简称为生长率。如巳求得生长式，则生长率和比生产率就可以中导出。至于生长速度也可以用增加时间来表示。
