牧溪，俗姓李，佛名法常，号牧溪，四川人，大概时间为宋末元初，具体生卒年月不祥，但有资料记载牧溪于公元1281年逝世。代表作品有《老子图》《松猿图》《远浦归帆图》《潇湘八景图》。
