热带季雨林（tropical monsoon forest）：是分布于热带，有周期性干、湿季节交替地区的一种森林类型。也称季风林或雨绿林。由较耐旱的热带常绿和落叶阔叶树种组成，且有明显的季相变化。与热带雨林相比，其树高较低，植物种类较少，结构比较简单，优势种较明显，板状根和老茎生花现象不普遍，层间藤本、附生、寄生植物也较少。
