又称次火山。与喷出岩同源但为浅成侵入的岩体。岩性特征与喷出岩相似,一般晶体较大,形成深度一般比较小,小于3千米,通常为0.5～1.5千米。它常具熔岩的外貌,而又具侵入岩的产状,如岩墙、岩盖、岩床和岩株等。主要形成于火山作用晚期。
