渔业水域是指适宜水产捕捞、水产增殖的水生经济动植物繁殖、生长、索饵和越冬洄游的水域总称。按《中华人民共和国渔业法》规定是指中华人民共和国管辖水域中的鱼、虾、蟹、贝类的产卵场、索饵场、越冬场、洄游通道，以及鱼、虾、蟹、贝、藻类及其他水生动植物的养殖场。为保护该水域，防止污染，维护水域生态平衡，由渔业行政主管部门实施管理。
