泄泻是指因感受外邪，或被饮食所伤，或情志失调，或脾胃虚弱，或脾肾阳虚等原因引起的以排便次数增多，粪便稀溏，甚至泄如水样为主证的病证。一般根据病因病机运用淡渗，升提，清凉，疏利，甘缓，酸收，燥脾，温肾，固涩的方法治疗。
