沸腾干燥又名流化干燥，是流化技术在药物干燥中的新发展。所谓流化床，是指在一个设备中，将颗粒物料堆放在分布板上，当气流由设备的下部通入床层，随着气流速度加大到某种程度，固体颗粒在床内就会产生沸腾状态，这种床层就称为流化床。采用这种方法进行干燥的则称为流化床干燥。 这种干燥主要用于湿粒状物料的干燥，如片剂、颗粒剂等颗粒的干燥。具有干燥效率高，干燥均匀，产量高，适用于同一品种的连续生产，而且温度较低、操作方便、占地面积小等优点。但干燥室内不易清洗，尤其不宜用于有色颗粒的干燥，同时干燥后细粉比例较大。
