汽油标号：是实际汽油抗爆性与标准汽油的抗爆性的比值。标号越高，抗爆性能就越强。标准汽油是由异辛烷和正庚烷组成。并不是标号越高越好，要根据发动机压缩比合理选择汽油标号。2011年12月，北京市拟定将汽油牌号由“90号，93号，97号”修改为“89号，92号，95号”，并规定硫含量不得超过0.001 %。
其实汽油标号的高低只是表示汽油辛烷值的大小，绝不能把标号与纯净度和质量混为一谈。
