氯量 chlorinity将1公斤海水中含有的全部卤素量，作为其当量的氯量，用克表示。符号为 Cl，用千分比（‰）表示。通常海水中的氯为 19.00‰左右。氯含量的测定是海洋学中最基本的操作之一，国际上是以Mohr氏银滴定法使用标准海水为规定测定法。有时也用氯的含量来表示生物环境的海水浓度，但盐分与氯量之间有一定的比例关系，所以一般多从氯量求出的盐分量来表示。
