毛叶枣，学名滇刺枣Ziziphus mauritiana Lam.，属鼠李科枣属果树，因其产于印度，故名印度枣，又因其果形酷似苹果，因而毛叶枣又名“热带小苹果”。过去由于缺乏优良栽培品种，致使该果树推广种植面积较少。近年来，由于新的优良品种的选出，中国台湾发展较快，面积已达数千公顷，果价高达100元新台币（合人民币27元/KG）。
