模面最终外形功能把壳芯外形分为两部分，一部分为动模面，另一部分静模面。接下来检测拔模角，cimatron允许设计者随时检测拔模角，并以不同的颜色显示拔模角的大小，红色表示负拔模。观察分模面有没有倒拔模，没有继续下一步。共有分模面设计，利用组合曲线和拉伸、混合曲面等功能设计动、静模共有的分模面。分模面最终外形。设计芯盒动、静模毛坯，通过草绘一个毛坯外形，再用拉伸功能即可完成。
分模面应经过零件中心，而不要靠近上下边缘。
