植入片是指埋植到人体皮下缓缓溶解、吸收的片剂，一般长度不大于8mm的圆柱体，灭菌后单片避菌包装。 为灭菌的、用特殊注射器或手术埋植于皮下产生持久药效（长达数月至数年）的片剂。多为剂量小，作用强烈的激素类药物。制备时，一般由纯净的药物结晶，在无菌条件下压制而成或制成的片剂进行灭菌。
